Principal, Energy Efficient Lighting Design
Marilyn Sloane has over twenty years experience in the lighting industry with a unique blend of lighting retrofit design (NuLite Services, Inc.), retail buying (Bloomingdale’s ‘Home Division’ buying office), and product development (Metropolitan Museum of Art). She is Lighting Certified and a member of the Illuminating Engineering Society, Designers Lighting Forum, Urban Green Council, and Manhattan Chamber of Commerce. Marilyn is an instructor in the "Green Supers 32BJ Shortman Fund" where she directly interacts with supers and building staff of all levels regarding energy efficient lighting design.
As principal of NuLite Services Inc., Marilyn managed the audit, design, and installation of over five million square feet of building area on Columbia University’s Morningside Heights campus. This extensive 6-year project saved Columbia University five million dollars a year in electricity costs. The project was associated with the Con Edison Rebate Program, Shared Savings Partners, and the University’s Energy Management and Facilities Department.
Marilyn has developed relationships with suppliers, designers, and manufacturers who provide her with industry insight, collaborative resources, and partnerships in creating unique product.
Focusing on multifamily and commercial buildings, we work face-to-face with owners and building staff implementing upgrades, offering quick return on investments and enhanced lighting spaces.

With a Master’s Degree in Architectural Lighting, Linda Segreto has been designing lighting and control systems across the United States and abroad for the last two decades. She gained levels of excellence as project manager at the NYC firms of Cosentini Engineering, Inc., David A. Mintz Lighting Design, Inc., and Horton-Lees Lighting Design where she oversaw complex, time-sensitive projects.
Linda has extensive experience coordinating the design and installation of numerous interior/exterior illumination systems for commercial structures, as well as implementing energy-saving lighting controls and energy-management techniques. Included in this experience is the design of custom architectural lighting features for corporate lobbies, offices, and retail showrooms. Her ability to interface with architects and managers ensures project quality, timeliness, and adherence to client specifications.
Her lighting design projects encompass multifamily residences, office buildings, universities, corporate headquarters, hospitals, retail stores and showrooms, banking facilities, atriums, bridges, exterior facades, and parking facilities.
As principal of Design & Light, Inc., Linda expanded her experiences to include hotel lobby renovations, houses of worship, condominiums, high-end residences, and landscapes.
Several of Linda’s projects have received lighting awards from the Illuminating Engineering Society and the International Association of Lighting Designers.
